The smallest of the Scandinavian countries 

Denmark has a population of about 5.2 million and is best known for the fairy tales of Hans Christian Andersen, the beautiful city of Copenhagen with its Little Mermaid and the beautiful beaches of Jutland.

Denmark has a very equable climate, with pleasant summers and mild winters. The countryside is dominated by farms, small villages, fields and old churches. Denmark has a 7,500 km long coastline with beautiful white beaches that are ideal for sunbathing or walking, especially in Jutland. 

In Denmark, you can find out all about the Vikings, especially in Aalborg and Roskilde. In Roskilde, you can actually admire a number of Viking ships. One of Denmark’s most important tourist attractions is Legoland, which is situated in Billund. Legoland is a world in miniature made of Lego bricks. You can admire a number of well-known buildings reproduced in Lego.
