The home of Dracula
Romania has something to appeal to many holidaymakers. It is a leading cultural destination, with a magnificent scenery and a pleasant climate in summer.
Tourist attractions include the large number of monasteries in Bucovina; the capital, Bucharest, known as the Paris of the East, and the castle of Bran, the most beautiful of Dracula’s castles. Dracula had many castles all over Romania, but its unique situation makes this castle the best of them all.
Bird lovers and those looking for relaxation should certainly not miss the Danube delta and the caves in the Bihor mountain range. Various towns are worth a visit, such as Sighisoara, the best preserved of the seven fortified towns. Other attractions include Brasov, which is Romania’s liveliest city, and Cluj, its most western city.
